Belarus
My european tour brought me in Belarus in 2008. We didn’t find a direct flight, so we landed in Vilnius and reached Minsk with a bus. Passing the border was like a KGB movie: maybe police thought it was very strange to see 2 italians in a Lithuanian-Belarusian bus. We lost a lot of time for document checking, but finally we passed the border

Minsk governative buildings are in sovietic style

Victory square is dedicated to Red Army soldiers, who lost their life during 2nd world war

The city still brings the signs of comunism

Minsk nightlife is very active and we enjoyed so much

Lithuania
After several days spent in Minsk we took the bus back to Vilnius. But passing the border wasn’t easy again…

The city center is a beautifull place for a walk

There are many churches in the center

In the old town we had an interesting visit to Uzupis republic: it’s a district famous with artists, wich declared itself an independent republic in 1997
