Moldova

June 2025. I usually make weird routes to reach my destinations, but in this case i arrive to Chisinau with a direct debit mi flight: too easy ๐Ÿ˜€

The main buildings are around the main center in the old town

Catedrala Mitropolitana

…and also the center of nightlife

Government buildings and offices remind, appeang in sovietisc style, show the history of the city, part of the former USSR.

But the most significative example of Sovietic Brutalist architecture (I adore to see it) is the circus building

Arcul de Triumf reminds “Arc de Triomphe” in Paris

Stefan Cel Mare statue is dedicated to Stephan III the Great, national hero and Moldavian pride

I had the chance to know deeply Moldavian people and warm heart. Otherwise, i made friendship with not-human Moldavians (i suppose this sweet friendly girl is an employee in my hotel… ๐Ÿ˜€ )

Complexul Memorial Eternitate celebrates soldiers who lost their lives during WW2

Fun fact for me was to find out that Italy is not the only country with Carabinieri, when i found in Chisinau’s streets

As usual, when i visit a new country, i need to eat only local food. So i tried the most important moldavian dishes:

Mamaliga, Brรขnzฤƒ de oaie
Placinte + beer
Zeama
Frigarui

It was a great weekend in Moldova: I saw interesting places and met special people ๐Ÿ˜Š
